NAPET is supported by an Advisory Team that provides specialist knowledge across training practice, behaviour, welfare, operational handling, professional conduct, and academic insight. This structure allows NAPET to draw on subject-matter expertise while maintaining clear governance and board-level accountability.

Nicole Raganini – Advisory Member - Behaviour & Training
Nicole holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training and brings an academically informed perspective grounded in learning theory, behaviour analysis, and evidence-led practice.

Mark Portray – Advisory Member - Military Dog Handling
Mark brings professional experience from operational working environments and currently serves as a part-time military dog handler specialising in the preparation of working dogs for deployment. He is also an experienced companion dog trainer, supporting responsible ownership alongside his operational work.

Maisie Martini – Advisory Member - Professional Conduct & Complaints Support
Advisory Member – Professional Conduct & Complaints Support. Maisie brings over 15 years of experience working with dogs and their owners, alongside qualifications in coaching and dog law. Her advisory role supports fair, welfare-led resolution of concerns, upholds professional conduct standards, and helps maintain public confidence in professional practice.
NAPET’s advisory structure allows specialist expertise to inform best practice while ensuring governance and decision-making remain board led.
